DeKalb Pro Bono provides free legal help for low-income individuals in DeKalb County, Georgia. Since its founding in 1982 (founded under its original name – DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Association), the organization has assisted more than 12,000 clients with their civil legal matters.

DeKalb Pro Bono relies on a network of volunteer lawyers to provide legal support and representation to clients. To date, more than 1,000 lawyers have given their time to benefit their community. Currently, there are more than 500 lawyers serving in our volunteer network who are willing to provide assistance in areas such as bankruptcy, child custody and child support, divorce, domestic violence, landlord/tenant, and wills and estates.

If not for help from DeKalb Pro Bono and its network of volunteer lawyers, clients would be facing these life-changing legal matters alone because they cannot afford to hire a lawyer. The work of DeKalb Pro Bono relies on the support of its community to help us empower our clients with the legal support and assistance they deserve to have their rights protected.
