Legal services provided through DeKalb Pro Bono are made possible by more than 500 lawyers who volunteer their time during legal clinics and for individual cases. These lawyers take up to two cases a year in support of their fellow community residents.

Over the course of the organization’s history, more than 1,000 lawyers have provided their time and expertise to provide life-changing legal support and assistance on legal matters relating to: family law (divorce, child custody, child support), temporary protection order hearings (family violence, dating violence, stalking), landlord/tenant issues (security deposit return, eviction defense, maintenance issues), consumer debt issues, bankruptcy, probate issues and wills.

Every volunteer lawyer with DeKalb Pro Bono is licensed in Georgia and is in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Learn more about becoming a volunteer lawyer with DeKalb Pro Bono.
